Recent changes and improvements to SwapBooks.

Take a photo directly when adding books

Camera button on photo uploads. Wherever you add a photo — profile photo, condition photos when registering a book, or photos on an existing copy — you now get separate "Camera" and "Gallery" buttons, so snapping a photo on your phone is always one tap away.

Connect via Claude Connectors. Settings → "Connect an AI client" now has a URL you can paste straight into Claude's Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. You'll be asked to log in and approve access — no token to generate or copy. Manually-created API tokens (for clients like Claude Code that need one pasted directly) still work exactly as before.

Splash screen matches your device theme. If you've installed SwapBooks to your home screen, the launch splash screen now follows your device's light/dark setting automatically — previously it only matched if you'd explicitly picked Light or Dark in Settings → Appearance.

API tokens. Settings now has an "API tokens" section — generate a token so an AI assistant (like Claude) can search books, see your library and transfer requests, and take actions like proposing a swap on your behalf. A token has full access to your account, so treat it like a password; revoke it any time from the same screen.

Lend instead of swap. When accepting a swap request, the owner can now choose to lend their book temporarily instead of swapping or giving it away — they keep ownership and get it back the normal lending way.
Clearer either way. Both the owner and the requester now see when a swap request was resolved as a loan instead of a permanent swap or giveaway, on the request itself and once it's done.
Listing default back to Swap. Listing a book for the first time now defaults to "Swap" again instead of "Lend."
Fee and deposit on a swap-turned-lend. Choosing to lend when accepting a swap now lets the owner set a lending fee and deposit too — free by default, but if you turn that off you'll need to fill both in before accepting.
Settings fix. The Save button on the phone number field no longer overflows out of its box.

Swap accept now requires a real choice. If the person offering a swap has other books listed, accepting their request now makes you pick which one you want back — or deliberately choose "give it away." Before, an unmade choice silently gave your book away for free.
No more duplicate swap/sale/borrow requests. You can't send a second request for the same book while your first one is still pending.

Book pages. Every title now has its own page — cover, blurb, average rating, and every copy currently up for grabs. "Most swapped books" on the dashboard now links here.
Book search results are now keyboard-navigable. Use the arrow keys to move through matches when searching for a book to register or add to your reading list, Enter to pick one, and Escape to dismiss the list.
Tidier browse filters. The category chips on the Browse page now live behind a "Filters" button instead of always being open, so the page isn't as crowded on mobile.
Success confirmations. Adding a tag, adding or removing a photo, or posting a comment on a book copy now shows a small confirmation toast instead of just quietly updating.
Deposit reminders on return. If a lend had a deposit, marking the book returned (or confirming a return request) now reminds the owner to refund it — and the borrower's confirmation email says the same.
